Editorial standards

The rules every TechVerdict article follows, including how we handle money, sponsors and mistakes.

Verdicts aren't for sale

No company can pay for a ranking, a winner or a better score. Our picks come from our research, and they stay the same whether or not a company works with us.

Sponsored content is always labeled

Occasionally a company pays for a sponsored mention or a sponsored article. Our editors still write it, and it's clearly labeled as sponsored at the top. Paid links carry rel="sponsored", as Google requires. Sponsored content never changes an independent verdict.

Affiliate links

Some links on TechVerdict are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend, and we recommend products that pay us nothing. Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Conflicts of interest

TechVerdict's owner also builds MAC Terminal, a trading dashboard. Any article that mentions it carries a disclosure near the top.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send the page link, the claim and a source to our editorial inbox. We correct factual errors as soon as we confirm them and update the article's date.

Independence

TechVerdict is independent. We aren't owned by a tech company or a media group, and companies don't review our articles before they're published, except to flag a factual error in sponsored content.
