How we research

Every TechVerdict article follows the same process, so you know where each number comes from and how fresh it is.

Prices and plans come from the source

We check every price, plan limit and feature on the company's own website, and we print the date we checked it, like "Prices checked October 15, 2026." If a company doesn't publish a price, we say so instead of guessing.

Specs from official sources

Hardware specs, model sizes and technical limits come from the maker's official spec pages, documentation or model cards. When sources disagree, we use the manufacturer's own figure and note the difference.

Benchmarks are credited

When we use performance numbers, such as AI benchmark scores or speed tests, we name the source in the article. We don't present someone else's test as our own.

Hands-on, only when it's true

Most of our verdicts are research-based comparisons. When we've actually used a product ourselves, we say so plainly. We never claim testing we didn't do.

Clear picks

Every article names one overall winner and the best option for each type of buyer, with the reason in one line. If the honest answer is "it depends," we tell you exactly what it depends on.

We keep articles current

Tech changes fast. We revisit articles when prices change, new models ship or a pick is replaced, and we update the date at the top when we do. Older picks that have been superseded get a note pointing to the newer verdict.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and to create article illustrations. Every fact, price and recommendation is checked against primary sources before it's published, and the verdicts are ours.
